The second edition took place in 2011–12 and the third edition is scheduled to start in September 2015.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=About the Race )〕 The race was created for single- and doublehanded yachts (Category "Singlehand/Class 40" and “Doublehanded/Class 40") and small budgets. The two former professional yachtsmen Josh Hall and Brian Hancock were the initiators of the race.
